I obtained a MSc in Biological Engineering obtained in 2013 from University of Minho. I performed my academic internship at University of Minho to do my master thesis and then I worked in several research projects (national and international) in different areas of interest, namely molecular biology, microbiology and various materials for biological application. Consequently, I gained experience in techniques of production and characterization of materials (TGA, FTIR, SEM, etc) and different biological assays (antimicrobial, cell culture, PCR, etc). My research efforts resulted in 5 published articles in international journals (1 as 1st author and 1 as 1st co author), 11 poster communications and 4 oral communications in conferences.
