João P. Ribau is a National Representative & Contact Point Horizon Europe – Industry & European Innovation Council (EIC) at ANI - Agência Nacional de Inovação. With previous experience as Head of an R&D unit - Intelligent and Digital Systems at ISQ - and as a researcher, some previous activities include: - R&D team management and coordination - Project managing, reporting, proposal writing in several National and International programmes (e.g. MIT, FCT, P2020, H2020, BBI, ESA, LIFE, PRIMA). - Partnership and consortium establishment, with industry, research institutes, universities, or companies. - Research in industry4.0, digital solutions, modelling, decision and optimization, machine learning, IoT solutions, circular-economy, water-energy nexus, life cycle analysis, alternative energies and transports. - Publication of scientific papers, and conference communications, and brokerage events. - MSc/PhD student supervision He is the author of over 20 publications in top scientific journals, one book chapter, more than 10 publications in international conferences, and 25 communications in international conferences. Previously he was a Post-Doc researcher and an Invited Assistant Professor at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering (IDMEC) of Técnico Lisboa (IST), University of Lisbon. Received his Ph.D degree in Mechanical Engineering from IST, in 2014, with work in life cycle analysis and optimization of alternative road vehicles. In 2009, he received his M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, from IST, with work in analysis and simulation of electric and hydrogen consumption hybrid and electric vehicles.
