Ana Curto received her PhD in Biological Anthropology from the University of Kent in 2019. She was awarded the University of Kent 50th Anniversary Research Scholarship. Her research is focused on the relationship between diet and health. Ana published 5 scientific articles and 1 book chapter. She also presented podium communications and posters at several international conferences. In 2018 she placed 2nd place for the scientific text prize from the Portuguese Association for Anthropology and in 2019 she won the first prize in the category 2019/2020 Scientific text - Young Anthropologists (Biological/Forensic Anthropology). Ana is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, by accomplishing the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education in 2016 and teaching various modules at the University of Kent. She taught Foundations of Biological Anthropology, Biology and Human Identity and Forensic Anthropology to BSc and BA students. She was also an Academic Ambassador at the University of Kent, The University of Évora and the University of Coimbra. She also co-supervised 5 BSc students doing project on biological anthropology. Ana has experience in both filed and laboratory work.
