Inês Alexandra dos Santos Ferrão, is a PhD student in Aeronautical Engineer at University of Beira Interior. She has a Master degree in Aeronautical Engineer at University of Beira Interior (2018) and is currently a researcher of LAETA-UBI/AeroG Member of Associated Laboratory for Energy, Transports and Aeronautics since 2017. She received a scholarship from March to August 2019 in the scope of the project BiSI Biofuel Spray Impact in Aero-Engines. Currently, her principal research areas are the experimental and computational study of atomization, spray, and combustion. Presently, her PhD work is focusing on the study of alternative fuels for the aviation sector. In this context, a comparison study dedicated to conventional and alternative jet fuel is employed. Moreover, the addition of nanoparticles to a liquid fuel is also investigated to understand the effect of metal particles in single droplet combustion and spray dynamics.
