Researcher Ana Poeiras has a Ph.D in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, focusing on the theme of cork quality and forest management, has a Masters in Forest Engineering and has a degree in Agronomy. Her Ph.D thesis was focused on cork characteristics, bringing new insights on the effect of consistent water availability on the cork development, among other results. She has great experience in field and laboratory work, such as X-Ray technology and histological analysis. She also has great experience in event organization and in scientific knowledge dissemination to stakeholders and general public.
