Has a degree in Computer Science, an Executive MBA in International Business Management, and a PhD in Computer Science Specialization in Human-Computer Interaction. She is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Madeira. Currently, she is President of the board of directors of the Agency for Innovation and Modernization of the Autonomous Region of Madeira. FG has published peer-reviewed papers in the fields of HCI, participated in the program committee of international conferences, and had leading roles in organising conferences of this type. FG is also a member of IFIP’s Human-Computer Interaction (TC13) 13.6 HWID (Human Work Interaction Design) working group since October 2014. FG is a member of the eGames Lab project. At a scientific level, the effort has focused on the establishment of autonomous applied research groups in human-computer interaction, tools to support creativity, persuasive computing, gaming, human work interaction design, user experiences, increased cognitive and mental well-being in health and tourism, and more recently on digital transition/transformation in public administration.
