João N. C. Gonçalves is a (full-time) Invited Assistant Professor and Co-coordinator of the BSc programme in Applied Data Science at Catholic University of Portugal. In addition, he is also Invited Assistant Professor at the Department of Production and Systems of the University of Minho, in the fields of Operations Research and Supply Chain Management. João N. C. Gonçalves holds a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering (Forecasting and Applied Machine Learning), a MSc in Systems Engineering (Optimal Control Theory) and a BSc in Mathematics, all from the University of Minho, Portugal. João N. C. Gonçalves is a researcher at ALGORITMI R&D Center, University of Minho, within the Supply Chain, Logistics and Transportation Systems (SLOTS) group. His main research interests lie in Business Analytics with intersections with Operations Research and Supply Chain Management. In particular, he is interested in (Descriptive/Predictive/Prescriptive) Business Analytics; Regression; Supply Chain Demand Forecasting; Mathematical Optimization and Hybrid Multiobjective Optimization.
