Isabel Bezelga has a PhD in theatre and specialises in community theatre, theatre education and intercultural artistic methodologies. She obtained her initial training in education through art, theatre and educational sciences. Associate professor at the University of Évora where she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in theatre and in teacher training, and holds the following positions: Department of Performing Arts (Director); Assembly of the School of Arts (Member); CHAIA - Centre for Art History and Artistic Research (Integrated Doctoral Member); Coordinating Committee for the Evaluation of the School of Arts (Member); Course Director of the Doctoral Programme in Arts and Design (Adjunct); Course Committee for the Master's Degree in Theatre (Adjunct); Basic Education Degree Course Committee (Adjunct) and Theatre Education and Community Postgraduate Course Committee (Adjunct) As a CHAIA researcher she coordinates the Theatre and Performance Studies Line and is a member of the of the scientific council of the Associated Laboratory for Research and Innovation in Heritage, Arts, Sustainability and Territory (In2PAST).
