Arezki Abderrahim Chellal is a PhD student in Electrical and computer engineering at Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, and is supported by an FCT PH.D. Scholarship grant. He received the M.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy and Environment from the Higher School of Applied Sciences of Tlemcen (École supérieure des sciences appliquées de Tlemcen), Algeria, in 2020 and the M.Sc. in Renewable Energies and Energetic Efficiency, from the Polytechnic Institut of Bragança (Instituto Politécnico de Bragança), Portugal, in 2021. In the same year, he joined the Research Centre in Digitalization and Intelligent Robotics (CeDRI), Portugal, where he currently holds the position of Research Fellow, where he was working on the development of new methods and algorithms based on Artificial Intelligence for robots in healthcare ecosystems in order to support the functional rehabilitation of patients in the framework of the SMART-HEALTH project. He has participated in several international conferences on robotics, artificial intelligence, and control systems and has published 12 scientific papers. His research interests include electronics, robotics and automation, artificial intelligence, and embedded system design.
