Since 2011, I am graduated in Chemistry by Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto and obtained my master degree in Viticulture and Enology in 2016 in FCUP and ISA, from Lisbon. Currently, I'm a PhD student in Sustainable Chemistry and my field research focused on " Nature-inspired synthesis of novel amino-based flavyliums and pyranoflavyliums dyes with the respectives thermodynamic, kinetic, and photochemical studies towards different applications." In December 2023, I attended the Advanced analysis techniques course which provides training in the techniques of liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, atomic and molecular spectroscopy. In the last years I have participated in some research projects conducted by Food Polyphenol Lab at Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto. The last project was "Wine-INspired synthesis of blue pyranoflavyliums for topical Photodynamic Therapy". I'm author of 7 papers and co-author of 21 papers in international scientific journals; and I have given five oral presentations at national and international congresses. I am also the holder of patent WO2022172170 - "PROCESS FOR EXTRACTION AND HEMI-SYNTHESIS OF PYRANOANTHOCYANINS AND SKINCARE COSMETIC FORMULATIONS CONTAINING THEM". Portugal. Over the last years, I have also participated in winemaking processes during vintage season at large wine companies (Gran Cruz and The Fladgate Partnership) that has contributed to improve my knowledge about this subject; and in addition, in January 2018, I performed an advanced course of solid and exhausting knowledge of the world of wines, with international recognition (WSET level 3).
