Ana Isabel Geraldes Rodrigues holds a PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering and has extensive experience in microbiology, bioprocesses, and the analytical characterization of bio-based compounds. Her research has focused on microbial systems, metabolite production, and the biochemical characterization of complex biological matrices using analytical techniques such as HPLC and GC–MS. She has also worked on the characterization of bioactive compounds, including phenolic and volatile compounds in olive oil, strengthening her expertise in metabolite analysis and data interpretation. Currently, she is involved in the Be@t project, where she is characterizing fibers from different flax varieties and evaluating their phytoremediation potential through histological studies, microscopy, and biochemical analyses. This work has further developed her experience in plant characterization, laboratory experimentation, and the analysis of biological responses under environmental conditions.
