Kevin obtained his M.Sc. degree in Micro and Nanotechnologies Engineering in 2019, at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology from the Nova University of Lisbon. He developed his master thesis entitled "Development of a microdroplet-based Optofluidics platform for the analysis of single cancer cells" (Grade: 20/20), in the Medical Devices Group at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) in Braga, Portugal. Kevin Oliveira is a hired Research Fellow working on the Nanofabrication for Optoelectronic Application´s group at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL). He worked (07/2019-11/2020) in the H2020 funded project ARCIGS-M, which aimed to develop novel architectures for thin-film solar cells based on Cu(In,Ga)Se2. Most of his work was focused on the fabrication of passivation layers for solar cells, using the Cleanroom facilities (CVD, PVD, Photolithography, RIE (Reactive Ion Etching)). Following that, he started working on the PT2020 funded project SafeChrome, which aims to develop a hybrid and innovative solution for PVD coating of trivalent chromium (Cr (III)), the goal is to use this technology in the industry, while achieving the same or even a better performance than the present Cr (VI) solutions, in order to complain rigorous specifications for it to be applied on the automotive and optoelectronic industry. During his time at INL, Kevin has also been involved in several other projects (development and optimization of a copper electrodeposition process for RF circuits; development of new CIGS solar cells architectures; tuning of oxide layers composition deposited by PECVD) and in some of them he worked directly with the industry. Kevin has already published 8 articles , and has another one under review. He has 17 poster and 14 oral contributions in conferences, as an author and co-author. Throughout his career, Kevin had the opportunity to develop capabilities in several field, being a licensed and independent user of several systems across different areas, such as: Micro and Nanofabrication (Photolithography - Mask Aligner and Direct Write Laser; Deposition - CVD, PVD, Sputtering and Electroplating; Etching - RIE, Wet Etching and Vapor Etching); Characterization Techniques (SEM; TEM; Optical Microscope; Raman; Spectrophotometer, Interferometer and Mechanical and Optical Profilometer); Chemical Abilities (Nanoparticles Synthesis); Microfluidics (PDMS fabrication, Replica Molding, Syringe Pumps).
