My name is Catarina Alonso and I am PhD student of the AgriChains Doctoral Program - Doctoral Program in Agricultural Production Chains - from fork to farm. In 2018, I completed my master's degree in Geophysical Sciences (specialization in Meteorology) at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL). Since then, I have been developing research work at FcienciasID (Faculty of Sciences at the University of Lisbon) and at IPMA (Instituto Português do Mar e Atmosfera) and worked in some areas of meteorology and climatology, such as extreme weather events (droughts, heat waves and fires) and vegetation dynamics (forests and agricultural crops), where I obtained experience in data processing and monitoring. In addition to science, I am interested in culture and sustainable development, which leads me to participate in several voluntary projects that enhance group work and communication skills.
