Mariana Ferraz is a qualified professional in the area of Environmental Health and Occupational Safety and Health. She received a degree in Environmental Health from the School of Health of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. She completed a Master’s Degree in Health and Safety in Organizations at the same institution, where she deepened her expertise in occupational safety and health. She is currently attending the first year of the Doctoral program in Occupational Safety and Health at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. She holds a research fellowship at the Center for Translational Health and Medical Biotechnology Research, School of Health of Porto. Her scientific work has focused on indoor air quality and risk assessment, particularly regarding the integration of technologies in the workplace, including human-robot collaboration. In this context, she is a co-author of two scientific papers: “Cognitive Workload and Fatigue in a Human-Robot Collaborative Assembly Workstation: A Pilot Study” and “Acceptance of Industrial Collaborative Robots: Preliminary Results of Application of Portuguese Version of the Frankenstein Syndrome Questionnaires (FSQ)”. She is currently involved in the WinWORK project, which aims to create healthy work environments that promote quality of life and well-being in the workplace, with a focus on the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders. As part of this project, she is engaged in the implementation of co-creation workshops, the application of questionnaires, the development of practical manuals, and the use of virtual reality technology to train workers. Her work also includes conducting systematic reviews related to co-creation methodologies and approaches, training programs focused on behavior change, and psychosocial risk factors associated with musculoskeletal disorders. In addition to her research activities, she currently holds the position of invited assistant at the School of Health of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. Her performance and dedication establish her as a committed professional, capable of solving problems, adapting to diverse situations, and responding effectively to the evolving challenges and demands of modern work environments.
