Tanara Zingano Kuhn

Tanara Zingano Kuhn is a Contracted Junior Researcher at the Research Centre for General and Applied Linguistics at the University of Coimbra (CELGA-ILTEC), Portugal, and holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Lisbon, Portugal, with an Overseas Doctorate Scholarship from CAPES (Brazil). She has a Master's Degree in Language Studies/Text and Discourse Theories, with an MA Scholarship from CAPES (Brazil), and a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching the Portuguese and English Languages and their Literatures, both from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil. She has been a member of CELGA-ILTEC since its foundation in 2015, specifically as an integrated member since 2017, and is currently a member of its Executive Board (2019 - present). She is interested in the area of Applied Linguistics, with emphasis on Lexicography, Corpus Linguistics, Discourse Studies, Teaching Portuguese as an Additional Language (PAL), and Enunciative Linguistics, working mainly on the following topics: creation of dictionaries of Portuguese, compilation of Portuguese corpora, metalexicographical studies, development of digital games based on crowdsourcing for pedagogical purposes, corpus linguistics in PAL teaching-learning, academic discourse, and development of resources for corpora interrogation. She was an Invited Scientist Fellow at the International Institute for the Portuguese Language (IILP), which is an organ of the Community of the Portuguese-speaking Countries (CPLP), where she served as interim coordinator of the Common Scientific and Technical Terminologies of the Portuguese Language (TCTC) project (2020). She was a Management Committee Substitute for Portugal and coordinator of the Exploitation Coordination group of the European Network for Combining Language Learning and Crowdsourcing Techniques (enetCollect) COST Action (CA16105) (2019-2021). She was a member of the Executive Board of EURALEX (European Association for Lexicography) (2018-2022). She is a member of the Founding Committee of the Lexicography Association of South, Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico (AmericaLex-S). She is a co-chair, with Ana Raquel Matias (ISCTE, Portugal) and Máté Huber (University of Leipzig, Germany), of the 11th International Conference on Pluricentric Languages and their Non-Dominant Varieties, which will take place in Lisbon in 2025.
