My research has focused on developing antibacterial surfaces for biomedical applications, with 18 ISI-indexed papers, three book chapters, and over 300 citations (h-index of 10, Scopus). In 2024, I completed my PhD in Materials Engineering, focusing on improving orthopedic implant interfaces through antibacterial properties and cell stimulation effects. Throughout this time, I have completed four research stays abroad at prominent institutions, including Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain), the University of Texas at Austin (USA), and Universidad del País Vasco (Spain). Throughout my career, I have completed four research stays abroad at prominent institutions: Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain), the University of Texas at Austin (USA), and Universidad del País Vasco (Spain). Additionally, 9 posters and 6 oral presentations (2 invited) featuring my contributions have been presented at national and international conferences. I was honored with the Best Poster Presentation award (Slovakia, 2019) and received the Young Researcher Award for my oral presentation at EMRS (Poland, 2023). The UTAustin-Portugal Program also recognized my work and awarded me a fellowship in the "Call for Expressions of Interest for Short-Term Research Internships at the University of Texas at Austin 2022," which allowed me to join a research team at the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering at UTAustin. I have recently worked on the CLUMOSE Project, where I used my materials science and biology expertise to develop advanced antibacterial applications.
