Fernão D. Magalhães obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Massachusetts at Amherst, USA, in 1997. He is currently Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto, and member of LEPABE - Laboratory of Process Engineering, Environment, Biotechnology and Energy. His research interests include synthetic and natural adhesives for wood and cork based composites, graphene-based materials for biomedical applications, waterborne polymer dispersions, and high-performance coatings. He teaches classes on Polymer Materials, Process Control, and Industrial Automation.
