Jennifer Teixeira is a PhD graduate in Physics (Mar. 2019) and the holder of an individual FCT CEEC position (Aug. 2022), being currently a Tenure Track Staff Researcher in the Salomé Research Group at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL). She has over 40 publications in international peer-reviewed journals. From this list of publications, she highlights important journals: Phys. Rev. B, Phys. Rev. Appl., Appl. Phys. Lett., Nanoscale, Solar RRL, Appl. Mater. Today, among others. She co-authored over 60 communications in meetings and workshops, including over 10 oral presentations given by herself, and she was the recipient of the "Young scientist award", 2016 E-MRS Spring Meeting. Through her papers, Jennifer collaborated with groups from Sweden, Brazil, Belgium, Kazakhstan, India (...). Jennifer Teixeira has a Masters in Engineering Physics from University of Aveiro. During her initial studies she performed a one year stay in Italy at the Università degli Studi di Trento. In the third year, her project dealt with the evaluation of stress in heterostructures of Si/Ge and the Master thesis topic was "The influence of the growth parameters of CZTS on its electronic properties". From 2013 to 2019 Jennifer took a research assistant position at the Institute for Nanostructures, Nanomodelling and Nanofabrication (I3N) at the University of Aveiro, where she took her PhD from 2015/11 - 2019/03, studying the impact of defects on the optoelectronic performance of thin film solar cells. During these years, Jennifer's main topic of study was charge carrier dynamics in complex multinary semiconductors, alerting the scientific community that some of the current defect interpretations present in the literature are misleading and that the current theoretical models are incorrect, which was a breakthrough in the interpretation of the limitations of thin film solar cells. Jennifer continues to expand this area with her contributions. She was also responsible for the maintenance, organization, safety, and daily operation of several optical tools such as two Fourier transform infrared spectrometers. As a lecturer she taught the laboratorial component of "Mechanics" and "General Physics", and was often involved in activities related to science communication and outreach events promoted by the Physics Department University of Aveiro. Since June 2019, Jennifer has been a Researcher at the Salomé Research Group at the INL led by Professor Pedro Salomé. She has been applying her know-how directly to solar cell technological research lines in several H2020, FCT, and PT2020 projects and since 2023, she has been deeply involved in developing and defining characterization protocols for lithium-based battery recycling byproducts. Additionally, Jennifer has been supervising and mentoring different level students from different Universities with several (co-)supervisors, supporting her scientific independence.
