Researcher and Developer Tiago Rocha, achieved a Master’s degree in computer engineering in 2013 from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto. From 2012 to 2013 worked to complete his thesis in the field of Poly-pharmacy and falls in the elderly population. Since 2013 works as a scientist at Associação Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS where he took part on several projects in areas related with signal processing, machine learning and pattern recognition and applied to fields such as Fall detection, recognition of physical activity and indoor location. Later on he took part in the development of GoLivePhone, a commercial application to aid and assist elders by designing a custom smartphone experience while allowing caretakers to monitor the users.
