Mohammad-Reza Pendar is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria, Canada, developing high-fidelity computational and experimental tools to enhance energy efficiency and reduce cavitation-induced underwater noise in marine vessels. He has received highly competitive national and international distinctions, including the Best Doctoral Thesis Award (APMTAC, 2021), Best Paper Award (ASME FEDSM, 2022), ECCOMAS Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award (European nominee), Outstanding Reviewer Award (ASME, 2023), and the Aspiration 2030 Award (CAD $55,000, 2023). Pendar’s scientific output includes 21 Scopus- and ISI-indexed publications (17 in Q1 journals; 18 as first author), two patents, a textbook, and 20+ international conference contributions. Several of his publications rank among the most highly cited in engineering, demonstrating significant international impact. He has completed 180 verified peer reviews, serves on two editorial boards, and has been Guest Editor for three special issues. He has led industrial R&D projects with strong technology-transfer impact. He has developed advanced OpenFOAM solvers for hydrodynamic–acoustic analysis, electrohydrodynamic spray modeling, and high-fidelity CHT–LES–FSI simulations, resulting in three patents (Portugal, Canada, and Iran National Patent). His work has received >1,210 citations, with an h-index of 16 and i10-index of 19.
