I hold a Degree in Chemistry, a Masters in Characterization Techniques and Chemical Analysis and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Minho. After my Ph.D, I have worked at CeNTI as a Researcher in the Smart Materials area. My work had focused the research and development of printed electronics, as piezoelectric devices (preparation of functional materials and assembly), capacitive sensors/matrices and heating systems, integration of printed and hybrid electronic systems into di¿erent types of substrates and its characterization. I have acquired know-how in the development, testing, prototyping and support for scale-up in the areas of nanotechnology, functionalization and "smartization" of materials, mainly regarding the printed electronics technologies. As a Centre for research and technology transfer, I had the opportunity to collect tools in its portfolio of innovation and R&D activities, since I have been in contact with several projects that demonstrate its commitment and mission in support and dynamization of national technological, industrial and business infrastructure, in order to develop new products with high added value and / or to incorporate new technologies in traditional products and markets. Further, I have also supervised 1 student. Currently, I am working in a Project entitled Advanced Green Printed Batteries for Portable Devices, Ref. POCI-01-0145-FEDER-028157, co-financed through the COMPETE 2020 and by the FCT. My work focus is to develop high energy density lithium-ion solid state rechargeable batteries for conventional and unconventional geometries, based on printing technologies, developing new materials optimized for each component of lithium-ion batteries through the use of natural polymers, being these polymers and printing technology the perfect match for developing new and low-cost solutions for functional electronic devices. I present knowledge in the development of formulations of printing inks to obtain different devices. I also have experience in processing and characterization of composite materials, namely in the electrochemical and electrical characterization and in the development, assembly and characterization of batteries.
