I was born in Entroncamento, Portugal. My main areas of interest are renewable energies, with special interest in photovoltaics, an area focused on my current research. In addition, I also have interests in Quantum Mechanics and Electromagnetism. I ingressed in the Integrated Master's Degree in Micro and Nanotechnology in Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologias, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where I ultimately received my Degree in Engineering of Micro and Nanotechnology in 2018. Afterward, I enrolled in a research fellowship in the scope of the project Apolo in CENIMAT/UNINOVA having also collaborated in other projects, such as project AltaLuz and SuPerSolar. Subsequently, I performed my PhD (via a grant awarded by FCT) in Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, regarind the quantum and optical simulation of dots-in-host semiconductor materials. Currently, I am working under the ERC project X-Stream and the European project JUMP INTO SPACE, where I lead the work packages related with modelling. I have a notable scientific profile, having published seventeen scientific peer reviewed articles, where four are as first and corresponding author. I have done several highly artistic representations that have been featured as covers in five scientific publications and one as the cover for the Light: Science and Applications Editor's Highlight, that featured one of my first name articles. Furthermore, I also have extensive coding expertise, demonstrated by the published graphical interface program, that provides easy-to-use access to the scattering matrix method, fundamental for optical endeavors.
