Nuno Filipe Figueiredo Moreira completed his Master degree in Environmental Engineering at FEUP, University of Porto in 2014 and received the PhD diploma in Chemical and Biological Engineering at the same Faculty in October 2020 (Cum Laude). Until June 2021 he was a researcher at the Associate Laboratory LSRE-LCM and LEPABE. His research activities were mainly focused on the sustainable water treatment including the removal of organic micropollutants, antibiotic resistant bacteria and related genes, maintaining the bacterial community diversity, of actual water matrices by advanced oxidation technologies and conventional processes. Until now Nuno has 17 publications in international scientific journals with peer review (h-index = 16 and > 2500 citations: Scopus) and 18 communications in international and national scientific meetings. He was an Invited Assistant (University Teacher) between September 2020 and February 2021, teaching practical classes from Microbial Biochemistry course unit of MIB (Integrated Master in Bioengineering) and MIEQ (Integrated Master in Chemical Engineering) at FEUP. He is regularly involved in the organization of scientific and pedagogical activities for science dissemination. During 2022, he performed research activities under the scope of Research FEUP/APA/2022-79255 - Elaboration of a study regarding the definition of minimum rates of incorporation of recycled materials in packaging. Recently, he works as a analysis technician at Água e Energia do Porto (AEdP).
