Rute Castelo Félix completed her PhD in Ciências Biomédicas on November 18, 2011, at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Instituto de Higiene e Medicina Tropical: She also holds a Bsc in Biology (scientific) from the Universidade de Évora, completed on December 15, 2003. Currently, she serves as an Auxiliary Researcher and Invited Assistant Professor at the Universidade do Algarve. During her career, Rute has demonstrated a prolific research output, having published 31 articles in journals and contributed to 2 chapters of books. Additionally she holds one registered patent. Rute has actively contributed to the organization of 10 events and has actively participated in 43 others. She has undertaken supervisory roles, co-supervising 1 PhD thesis, 2 MSc dissertations and co-supervised 7 MEE thesis . Rute has received 6 awards/honors. Rute has been an integral part of 13 research projects. Within the scientific domain, Rute specializes on biological sciences, with emphases on cell biology, molecular biology and bioelectronics. Research Fellow in 3 project(s), Research Technician Fellow in 1 project(s) and Researcher in 7 project(s).
