Ana Sofia Teixeira Brandão

Ana Sofia Brandão is currently a PhD student of Production and Computing Engineering at the University of Léon. She has a degree in Genetics and Biotechnology (2010) from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, Vila Real (Portugal), and a master's degree in Analytical, Clinical and Forensic Toxicology (2012) from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (Portugal). Throughout her career, she had the opportunity to work in academia (both at national and international levels), and business. Her recent focus, over the last six months, has been on a comprehensive study related to the "Management of Collaborative R&D&I Projects." In the last years, she was a team member of 2 different projects: ProDOP Serra da Estrela (PDR2020-101-032096) and INBEC (00627_INBEC_6_E). From her research activity, she has 4 published manuscripts (first author) in indexed journals in the circular bioeconomy field, and 2 co-author publications in indexed journals, one of which in the area of Management of R&D Projects. She has participated in different international congresses with 5 communications (oral presentations). She had also been involved in scientific events organisation, namely, in developing an event called the Circular Week, held in September 2021, and a local Circular Economy Course (6 ECTS) at Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB). Throughout her career, she attended courses that improved her skills and complement her academic background, namely business management, entrepreneurship, and industry innovation. In addition to her professional career, she has a vast curriculum in social and environmental volunteering actions, as well as in Erasmus+ Programmes volunteer programs at national and international levels.
