2016/01 - 2017/01 13th Edition of the "Ciência na Escola" Project of the Ilídio Pinho Foundation "Prebiotics, probiotics and symbiotics with parsnips!" The project consisted in the development of a methodology for the extraction of insulin, through the root of Cherovia (Parsnip). This substance can be used as a substitute for sugar (it allows to sweeten food) and fat (it allows to obtain consistency), and is also beneficial for its ability to stimulate the development of microorganisms that live in the human intestine and are beneficial to health.
