Cristina Sá Valentim is a social-cultural anthropologist (MA and BA, University of Coimbra) and holds a PhD in Sociology (area Postcolonial Studies, CES-University of Coimbra, FCT Fellow). Currently, she is a Research Fellow at ICS-University of Lisbon (CEEC-FCT 4th Edition) at the research group "Empires, Colonialism and Postcolonial Societies". Her main research interests include Portuguese late colonialism in Angola, forced labour, rural communities and territories, folklore studies, popular music, natural and cultural heritage, environmental and social sustainabilities and well-being, identity strategies, migration, and digital humanities. She has been a peer-reviewer in national and international scientific journals, and an expert evaluator of academic and non-academic project applications to national and international calls. She has published several articles in indexed and open-access national and international double peer-reviewed journals, and on online sites, 2 book chapters, and 2 books (master and PhD thesis). She carried out teaching activities in several university institutions, as well as management and science dissemination activities. She was a researcher on several national and international projects with multidisciplinary teams. She presented several papers at national and international events and organized scientific events.
