Teresa Rodrigues (TR) finished a 5-year Chemical Engineer degree from the Lisbon Engineering Institute, PT, (2000), an MSc in Geochemistry from the Aveiro University, PT, (2002), and a PhD in Marine Science from the Polytechnic University of Cataluña, ES, (2009). Still, in 2009, she was contracted as a post-doctoral fellow for an INTERREG research project. In 2010, she was awarded a 6-year postdoctoral fellowship by the Portuguese Science Foundation (FCT), which was followed in 2016 by a new 3-year FCT postdoctoral grant. In 2019, she started a junior research contract on the WarmWorld (PTDC/CTA-GEO/29897/2017) project, a project coordinated by her. TR's main research interest is focused on understanding the timing, nature, and causes of low- and high-frequency climate changes during past warm periods (interglacials) under variable boundary conditions. Her main focus is innovative assimilation techniques and model evaluation, exploring the dynamics of modes of variability to better understand the climate sensitivity and feedback mechanisms responsible for this variability. -investigation of abrupt climate events or climate transitions that can be identified as thresholds or tipping points in the climate system during interglacials, and attribution of cause and effect to these events. understanding the biogeochemical trigger mechanisms controlling feedback between climate and carbon cycle, especially under warmer climates such as those experienced now and in the near future. She participates in 29 research projects (13 international, 14 national, and 2 bilateral) and was conceived as a PI or team member in more than 20 project proposals submitted but not funded. She published 48 papers in peer-reviewed journals, including high-impact multidisciplinary journals such as Science magazine (IF: 41.063) or Nature Communications (IF: 16.6), among these 10 book chapters. According to the Web of Science, TR has an H-index of 22 (1392 citations) on Scopus and 25 (2161 citations) on Google Scholar. TR has presented in 74 oral communications and 110 poster presentations at national and international meetings. She was awarded travel and accommodation grants to participate in international meetings and working groups. TR trained and supervised/co-supervised postdoctoral researchers, PhDs, master's and research fellows, and 2 technicians. As a reviewer, she was invited to evaluate project proposals and numerous papers in diverse international scientific journals. She is a member of several scientific working groups, including the including the Biomarker Working Group (WG) of IODP Expeditions 339 and 359 and the QUIGS-PAGES-PMIP WG on Quaternary Interglacials, and has established a fruitful network of international collaborations, particularly with Spanish, French, UK, and German researchers.TR has been a vice- president of the Scientific Council of IPMA for more than 6 years, and she is also strongly involved in outreach activities for the general public and students (from elementary school to university level).TR´s acquired skills and competencies in the earth and marine sciences. Her geochemistry expertise was essential for the implementation of the BioGeoChemistry Lab, a unique lab in the country with capabilities to analyse a range of biomarker compounds essential for sea surface temperature, marine productivity, and continental climate reconstruction. This lab was started during her PhD (2006) at LNEG (now at IPMA) and has since been coordinated by TR. BioGeoChemistry Lab, as an EMSO-PT laboratory at IPMA, is now integrated into the National Roadmap of Research Infrastructures.
