The individual holds a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering from ESALQ/USP. They pursued master's and doctoral degrees in the Environmental Engineering Sciences program at the Center for Water Resources and Environmental Studies at EESC/USP. Additionally, they completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Environmental Management department at EACH/USP and currently hold a postdoctoral position at UNICAMP. Their academic experience includes a visiting professorship in Water Resources and Sanitation Management at the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS-Viamão), where they engaged in teaching (postgraduate, undergraduate in environmental management, and technical courses in environmental studies), research, and extension activities. They have served as a professor at the State University of Maringá (UEM), focusing on irrigation and water resources, and at the State University of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT) in the same field. They were also a faculty member at the Federal Institute of Amazonas (IFAM), teaching Agroecology and Environmental courses. Their roles include coordinator and professor of the Environmental Engineering course at UNESC and collaborating researcher at EACH/USP. Their research focuses on environmental management and sustainable development, specifically assessing environmental public policies related to water resources and sanitation. They have authored 26 articles in high-impact national and international journals, including publications in Water Research, Water, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Environmental Management, Marine Pollution Bulletin, Science of the Total Environment, and Waste Management. Additionally, they serve as a reviewer for national journals such as Revista Brasileira de Ciências Ambientais and Revista DAE, as well as international journals like Journal of Environmental Management, Science of the Total Environment, and Water Policy. Their expertise spans consultancy projects, undergraduate course management, research and extension projects (including funding submissions), and mentoring and teaching.
