I am a PhD student in Physical Engineering at the University of Aveiro, specializing in optical fiber sensors and their applications in fields such as biomedicine and telecommunications. My research combines advanced materials and innovative optical structures, exploring topics ranging from the multiplexing capabilities of optical fibers to the design and characterization of in-fibre devices. Throughout my PhD, I have developed practical skills in: - Nanoscale 3D printing (from design to characterization). - film sputtering and scanning electron microscopy - fabrication of Bragg gratings using UV lasers/ phase masks - Programming for high-resolution motor control - Development of efficient codes that interconnect optics and software. In a few words, I would describe myself as curious, committed and passionate about science. I enjoy collaborating on multidisciplinary projects that challenge me to step out of my comfort zone and transform research into real impact.
