Jorge Gominho (h-index=26; 1965 citations; Orcid ID:0000-0003-3419-6075) is a researcher at Centro de Estudos Florestais (CEF), Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA), University of Lisbon (UL) has a degree in Forestry Engineering (1992), a master's degree in Engineering of Lignocellulosic Materials (1997), Ph.D. in Forest Engineering (2004) from Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA / UL) and Habilitation in Forestry Engineering and Natural Resources (2018) from Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA/UL). He is an integrated member of the Center for Forest Studies (CEF), belonging and coordinating the research group ForTec: Forest Products and Biorefineries. The main principal research area is biomass, bioenergy, biorefineries, and energetic crops. He was the main coordinator of 3 national projects financed by FCT and participated as a team member in 5 internationals and 12 national projects. During these 16 years of research, he has contributed to the elaboration of 94 articles (90 in international journals with scientific referees and 4 in national journals), 1 book about Eucalyptus globulus research and 4 book chapters and participated in 80 conferences (65 international and 15 national), with oral or poster communications. He has been awarded (2017) with Merit of scientific activity (Honorable mention) Prémios científicos Universidade de Lisboa/Santander Universidades. Co-coordinator of 2 undergraduate theses, 12 master's theses, 5 doctoral theses, and 3 post-doctorates. The teaching activity involved the collaboration in different C.U. in the degrees and master's in forestry engineering and Natural Resources and Environmental Engineering.
