Fernanda A. Ferreira is a lecturer in mathematics and mathematical statistics in the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (P.PORTO) since 1993, currently developing her professional activity as Senior Lecturer of the Information Systems and Mathematics Department at the School of Hospitality and Tourism (ESHT) of Polytechnic Institute of Porto, Portugal. She holds a BS in Mathematics (in 1989), M.Sc. in Mathematics (in 2002), and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) (in 2007). She obtained also a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Statistics and Operations Research from Vigo University (in 2004). She is Head of Information Systems and Mathematics Department and Vice-president of the Pedagogical Council, since 2019. Member of the Technical-Scientific Council of ESHT since July 2017, she was a member of the Technical-Scientific Council of ESEIG since 2007 until its extinction in 2016, as well as the Pedagogical Council in 2009- 2013, 2015-2016. A researcher and coordinator of UNIAG (Applied Management Research Unit, since 2013, her publications, more than 150, in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and proceedings, cover the research interest areas of industrial organization, game theory and tourism (ORCID ID: orcid.org/0000-0002-1335-7821). She participated in 10 international and national R&D projects. Co-author of two published books on topics in Applied Mathematics. Supervised a master thesis in the areas of Tourism, Hospitality, Game Theory, and Management. She also organizes Symposia at several International Conferences and has collaborated as a reviewer with several journals. She has several communications at international scientific conferences, and she serves as a member of the Program Board and Organizing Committees for some Scientific Committees of International Conferences. Her current research interest includes Tourism Research, Hospitality Management, Industrial Organization, Game Theory and Operational Research.
