Sidonie Costa holds a degree in Mathematics Teaching and a PhD in Polymer and Composite Science and Engineering from the University of Minho, Portugal. Since 2010, she has been teaching at the School of Management and Technology (ESTG), Polytechnic of Porto, where she is currently an Adjunct Professor and an integrated member of CIICESI. Her research trajectory combines two complementary lines. The first focuses on the mathematical modelling and thermal analysis of extrusion-based additive manufacturing processes. The second, more recent line centres on Mathematics Education in Higher Education, particularly the pedagogical integration of digital tools and video-based learning. She is the creator of the b-Mat@plicada project, a blended-learning mathematics initiative that integrates instructional videos into university teaching. This project has supported empirical research on student learning, digital pedagogy, and educational innovation, consolidating her profile at the intersection of applied mathematics and technology-enhanced education.

The session presented evidence-informed insights from the b-Mat@plicada project and provided methodological guidance for designing educational videos, including software tools, production workflow, and evidence-based recommendations. A practical demonstration was included. The workshop supported staff development in digital pedagogy.
