Luisa Helena Pinto, PhD, is an associate professor of international human resource management (IHRM) at the University of Porto’s Faculty of Economics in Portugal. Presently, she is an affiliate of the American Academy of Management (AOM) and the European Academy of Management (EURAM) and is an international affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA). She has co-authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Vocational Behavior, International Journal of Human Resource Management, International Journal of Intercultural Relations, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of Marketing for Higher Education, Higher Education, Personnel Review, among others. She is a signatory of the DORA Declaration, a member of the CYGNA Network (Women in Academia), the Responsible Research for Business and Management (RRBM), and the STAR Scholars Network (which supports the advancement of new generations of scholars working across borders). Her research interests include international HRM, expatriate management, cross-cultural management, global mobility, and migration studies. More recently, she has widened her research interests to topics related to global sustainability, attribution theories, the use of experimental design in management research, and mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
