Since starting my career in Fine Arts (1998-2002, Granada University), I always wanted to move into the Restoration of the Cultural Heritage. This is why I studied the conservation/restoration expert in the two specialities of Painting and Archaeology (2002-2004, Granada University). During all my professional career as a restorer/curator (2005-present), I have been lucky enough to work at very relevant and several archaeological projects, specially at 4 UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Spain and Italy: Madinat al-Zahra (Cordoba), the Mosque-Cathedral (Cordoba), the Alhambra (Granada), and Pompeii (Pompeii). The great opportunities I have had to work in different fieldworks (2012-present), acting as director in 4 of them, definitely confirmed my passion for archaeology. This led me to study the Master degree in ‘Archaeology and Heritage: Science and Profession’ (2011-2013, Universities of Cordoba, Malaga, Huelva and Pablo de Olavide (Seville)). During my Master Thesis (2013-2014), I discovered that research is my true vocation. My interdisciplinary education and professional background were the best tools to guide all my personal interests in the search for answer to all the unknowns that I had found during the fieldworks and their professionals, related to a frequent material but very unknown: the glass. Since then, I dedicate myself to the glass archaeological and conservation studies. I finished my PhD (December 2019) about ‘Roman Window Glass in Baetica’ (Granada University) (Cum Laude distinction and international mention), which I did in a fully vocational way and without financial supports. I obtained 5 competitive grants for national (2011-2012) and international (2015-2016) mobility, the archaeometrical analysis of the glasses studied in mi PhD (The Association for the History of Glass grant from UK, 2016), and for the participation in an international congress (2017). These wonderful last 11 years of research on glass, are allowing me to train as an expert in glass materials, especially in the Roman and al-Andalus periods. I have visited a large number of museums and archaeological sites corresponding to the area of Baetica and al-Andalus, looking for materials for my research. All this experience has also allowed me meeting people who, in one way or another, have favourably influenced my professional development, both nationally and internationally. My research works with the Newcastle University and my collaboration with the Universities of Cordoba, Murcia and Granada, National Archaeological Museum, Museum of the city of Carmona, The Alhambra Royal Workshops Project and Madinat al-Zahra Survey Project, are a good example on it. I have also participated in 6 competitive research projects, being 3 of them international. For me, one of the most gratifying aspects of my job is to share my research with people. I have had the opportunity to teach in PhD programs as invited speaker (5) and I have participated in 27 scientific meetings, mostly oral communications (25) and as invited speaker (16). My scientific production includes 23 publications, being first author in 22 of them. My scientific production encompasses 23 publications, being the first author in 22. I am a researcher in the ARHIS group, thanks to a prestigious postdoctoral grant from the Juan de la Cierva programme (Government of Spain), which has allowed me to be part of the R&D&I project 'Vivere in Urbe' and to teach different subjects in the undergraduate and master's degree in History (UM) during the years 2021-2023. I was also secretary and quality coordinator of the Master in History at the same institution and co-tutor of one Master student (UGR). I have recently obtained a postdoctoral contract from the Marie Sklodowska-Curie programme at the prestigious VICARTE Research Unit of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa where I will soon start the GALENE project.
