Cláudia M. Deus is a young scientist, graduated in Biotechnology in 2008 and obtained a Master Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at University of Aveiro, Portugal in 2012. Cláudia has worked as Research Fellow at the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology (CNC), University of Coimbra, Portugal, during 4 years. Currently, Cláudia achieved a PhD student of the International Programme in Experimental Biology & Biomedecine (BEB), at the CNC. As main scientific areas of research, Cláudia is interested in study mitochondrial remodeling that occur in carcinogenesis, the importance of mitochondrial machinery and crosstalk with other organelles in Parkinson¿s Disease and mitochondrial-directed chemical toxicology. Cláudia has currently 19 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and more than 30 communications in scientific meetings, including posters and oral presentations.
