CURRENT RESEARCH LINE AND FURTHER OBJECTIVES I am a passionate and dedicated researcher with a Ph.D. in Biotechnology, specialized in biorefineries from microalgae, covering a Post-Doc position at CCMAR, University of Algarve, Portugal. My doctoral research was focused on optimizing a sustainable biorefinery extraction of bioactive compounds from microalgae to be used in several applications. In 2023, I joined MarBiotech group, collaborating on the development of micro-algae-based wastewater treatment system in the frame of the European Project RHE-MEDiation and collabo-rating on the selection of microalgae strains with high carbon dioxide fixation capability and high lipid con-tent in the scope of the European Project COSEC. My objective is to integrate the expertise acquired during my PhD and Postdoctoral research to develop a sustainable microalgae-based bioremediation–biorefinery sys-tem.
