Adriana P Mamede, BSc in Biochemistry, MSc in Forensic Chemistry, and PhD in Biosciences with speciality in Biochemistry by the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra. Her first research works were developed at "Unidade de Investigação e Desenvolvimento Química-Física Molecular, Universidade de Coimbra" (QFM-UC) on the study of burned human bones through vibrational spectroscopy, covering both light- and neutron-based techniques and producing 11 publications on the subject. Developed her PhD research at QFM-UC, working on the application of vibrational spectroscopy and machine learning to the diagnosis of human breast cancer, concomitantly contributing for the other research lines developed at this research unit, collecting another 10 publications.
