Ph.D. in social anthropology from Martin-Luther-Universität, Halle-Wittenberg (2011), researcher at ICS-ULisboa, and invited assistant professor at the University of Lisbon. I am an interdisciplinary anthropologist exploring areas where the distinctions between nature, technoscience, knowledge, power, and ethics are suspended. I have extensive fieldwork experience in Europe and southern Africa, addressing conceptual and applied questions. My teaching and supervision have been spread across various countries, and I have published widely in anthropology and human geography journals. I lead the research "Captive Ocean" initiated in 2023. Before my academic professional life, I worked in arts, social marketing, and international development.
