Nuno Alexandre Gonçalves Martinho holds a Licenciatura degree, a Master's degree and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Coimbra, the PhD in the speciality of Aerodynamics, approved with Distinction and Honours ("Distinção e Louvor"). He also holds the Professional Certificate of Competency in Hydrogen Energy – Production, Delivery, Storage and Use (Engineering Institute of Technology, Australia). He has been an Adjunct Professor ("Professor Adjunto") at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of ESTG – Polytechnic of Leiria since 1998, teaching curricular units in Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), HVAC and Aerodynamics. He has supervised more than 50 final-year projects and Master's dissertations. He was Coordinator of the BSc programme in Automotive Engineering (2012–2018) and has served on academic management bodies, including scientific-pedagogical committees, the Pedagogical Council and the Department Council. He is an integrated researcher at ADAI/LAETA – Association for the Development of Industrial Aerodynamics, having been responsible for the ADAI branch at the Polytechnic of Leiria (2013–2022). He has been Energy Area Manager at Streamvalue Consulting, Lda. (STREAM) since 2023, coordinating engineering services and R&D and investment projects in energy efficiency, industrial decarbonisation and renewable gases, including the preparation and management of funded projects (R&D, productive innovation and decarbonisation incentive schemes). He has participated in more than 20 funded R&D projects (FCT, COMPETE/Portugal 2020, Portugal 2030 and PRR Mobilising Agendas), having coordinated 4. He is STREAM's project leader in the H2NG project – Green Hydrogen Blending and Injection Station for Natural Gas Networks (consortium led by PRF – Gás, Tecnologia e Construção, S.A.) and is responsible for the participation of the Polytechnic of Leiria in the PRR Drivolution Agenda (WP18). He is the inventor in two international patent applications on hydrogen injection in natural gas networks (WO 2026/043384 and WO 2026/043385). He is the author and co-author of more than 40 scientific publications, including peer-reviewed articles in international and national journals and conference papers, and of more than 20 technical reports for public and private entities. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of OPEN – Business Incubator since 2017, representing the Polytechnic of Leiria, and was Secretary of the Supervisory Board of MOBINOV – Portuguese Automotive Cluster (2016–2022).
