Liliana Cristina Vidais Rosa

Liliana Rosa (Ph.D., New University of Lisbon, 2017) is an Associate Professor at Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT), an Integrated Researcher at the Center for Technology, Restoration and Art Enhancement (TECHN&ART), at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT), a Collaborator Researcher at Laboratory of Cinema & Philosophy (CineLab), NOVA Institute of Philosophy (Ifilnova), New University of Lisbon (UNL) and, a Collaborator Researcher at iA* Arts Research Unit, University of Beira Interior (UBI). She has a Ph.D. (2017) in Communication Sciences, specializing in Cinema and Television, from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (NOVA FCSH), New University of Lisbon (UNL), with a research grant funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), with the thesis “Tragedy and Contemporaneity in the Cinema of João Canijo”. She has also a Master’s degree (2009) in Communication Sciences, specializing in Cinema and Television, from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (NOVA FCSH), New University of Lisbon (UNL), and a Bachelor’s degree (2007) in Multimedia Design from the Higher School of Arts and Design of Caldas da Rainha (ESAD CR), Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (IPL). Currently she is a member of the following projects: ERASMUS-EDU-2024-EUR-UNIV - KreativEU: Knowledge & Creativity European University, Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT); CINEdeepECO - Cinema and Ecosophy: Values, Econarratives and Deep Ecology (Ref. 2024.16542.PEX), New University of Lisbon (UNL). She teaches on the Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema and Digital Media and the Master’s Course in Documentary and Report at the Higher School of Technology of Abrantes (ESTA), Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT). She is the coordinator of the Master’s Course in Documentary and Report at ESTA/IPT. She is the Erasmus coordinator for the Master’s Course in Documentary and Report, the Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema and Digital Media, and the TeSP in Sound and Image at ESTA/IPT. She is co-founder and co-organizer of the International Meeting Cinema and other Arts, held annually at the Faculty of Arts and Letters, University of Beira Interior (UBI). She is the author of several articles on cinema, published in books and magazines. She is co-editor of the several volumes Cinema and Other Arts: Dialogues and Artistic Concerns. She is a member of the editorial team of artciencia.com, Revista de Arte, Ciência e Comunicação. She has been a jury member at national and international film festivals such as, for example, HaHa Art Film Festival, Avanca Film Festival, International Cinema School Film Festival (MIFEC), Santiago Álvarez in Memorian International Documentary Festival. She is a jury member for the support programs of The Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual, I.P. (ICA, I.P.).
