Flávia Georgina Silva Pires

Flávia Pires is a researcher at CeDRI (Research Centre in Digitalization and Intelligent Robotics), focusing mostly on Digital Twin, Decision Support Systems, Data Analytics, and Industry 4.0. In 2024, she completed her PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), where her research focused on enhancing industrial digital twins for decision support through the integration of AI-based methods, with the support of the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT- SFRH/BD/143243/2019). She completed her Master's in Biomedical Technology in 2016 and her Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering in 2015 from the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB). She is an invited assistant professor at the IPB and an internal collaborative member of CeDRI. She has published in international conferences and journals, receiving the award for best paper in session and best presentation. Over time, she has participated in several international and national projects, such as DA.RE, GO0DMAN, PERFoRM, FiT4FoF, I4.0@TMAD, and PRODUTECH R3. She is also a member of the IEEE Society.
