Bronwyn Gillanders is the Head of School, Biological Sciences, at The University of Adelaide, President of the World Council of Fisheries Societies and Director, of the Marine Biology Program, at the Environment Institute, The University of Adelaide. Has a total of ~250 publications including 226 in refereed journals, 6 in refereed conference proceedings, 12 book chapters, 2 edited books, and >30 refereed reports. H-index is 49 (Scopus) or 65 (Google Scholar) (March 2022), averaging ~700 citations annually for the last 10 years (2011-2020 inclusive), at an overall average of >40 per item (Scopus). Bronwyn has 49 papers with over 50 citations including 20 with over 100 citations (Scopus). Research focuses mainly on the disciplines of fisheries and marine and freshwater ecology. Also publishes in analytical chemistry, biology, ecology, geochemistry where these are the best outlets for research. Uses the hard calcified structures of aquatic organisms (e.g. ear bones or otoliths, shells, teeth and vertebrae or other bones) and a range of approaches, including trace elements, stable isotopes, genomics, as innovative tools to understand provenance, investigate geographic origin, and evaluate population structure and connectivity. https://www.gillanderslab.org/
