Rita Oliveira has a master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra. During her academic training she has done four research internships (group of Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology, IBILI; group of Mitochondria and Neurodegenerative Diseases, CNC; group of Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery, FFUC; and Research and Innovation department, Bluepharma Pharmaceutical Industry). After concluding her academic training, she has worked at Bluepharma Pharmaceutical Industry in the Research and Innovation department, developing activities as a formulation scientist in the research to design and develop innovative drug delivery systems. Currently, she is a PhD student in the Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery group at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra. Her research is mainly focused in the oncology field and combines computer-aided drug design methodologies with molecular biology to speed up the drug discovery process.
