Already conducted 3 Thesis (BSc, MSc and PhD), published 6 book chapters, 54 scientific articles and 27 proceedings, and done more than 100 conference communications. Other activities: Responsible person (PEP) by the accreditation agency A3ES of 6 courses: at the Engineering Faculty of the BSc, MSc and PhD in Biomedical Engineering (2006-2010); at ISEL of a BSc in Biomedical Technologies (2014), MSc (2014) and BSc (2016) in Biomedical Engineering. Member of evaluation commissions of accreditation process (CAE) of 6 courses at the A3ES (2019 - 2022). Evaluated R&D projects at CRUP (Council of Deans of the Portuguese Universities) (2010 & 2011), and of the BES Contest (2010 & 2011). Member of the Executive Board of the Portuguese Chapter in Engineering in Medicine and Biology society (EMBs) of IEEE (2010 to 2013). IEEE senior advisor of the ISEL IEEE Biomedical Engineering Student branch (since 2018). Contributing member of the IEEE-EMBs, European Federation of Biotechnology and of the International Association for Promotion of Healthcare and Life-Science Research. Chair of the IEEE 6th Portuguese Meeting in Bioengineering, ENBENG 2019. Other activities: organizing activities for university students (e.g., soft-skills courses), non-university students (e.g., co-host of 3 First Lego-League national contests, 2 university open-days and coordinated the creation and organization of 2 national contests on Engineering, Innovation and Sustainability), organised diverse seminars and courses for high-school teachers among other communications.
