PhD in Environment and Sustainability (Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa), with an emphasis in Toxicology. Thesis entitled “Molecular Insight on the Toxicity of Mixtures of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons to Improve Environmental Guidelines”, supervised by Professors Marta Martins (MARE, FCT NOVA), Vasco Branco (iMED, FFUL), and Mário Diniz (UCIBIO, FCT NOVA). Throughout her academic and professional path, she completed several laboratory internships, contributing to four peer-reviewed publications in international journals and presenting posters at international conferences. These experiences strengthened her technical skills and critical thinking. Her main research interests include toxicology, immunology, biochemical responses, and environmental biochemistry. She holds a Postgraduate Degree in Marine Science, Technology and Society (2023) and an MSc in Biochemistry (2019). Her Master’s thesis focused on the toxicity of quantum dots (nanoparticles) using Danio rerio (zebrafish), Daphnia magna, and the HepG2 cell line. From 2018 to 2021, she was a researcher in the project PAHMIX – Mixtures of Environmental Carcinogens: A Molecular Approach to Improve Environmental Risk Assessment Strategies, under the supervision of Professor Marta Martins.
