PhD in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) of the Northeast Biotechnology Network (RENORBIO), Master's Degree in Biotechnology from UFBA, specialisation in innovation and quality from the Portuguese Industrial Association, Degree in Biotechnological Engineering, Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology. Post-doctorate in Biotechnology (UFBA) in the study of photostimulation strategies for the production of bioactives included in the project: Sustainable Biotechnological Alternatives to Increase the Oil Recovery Factor from Carbonate Reservoirs. Professional experience in the areas of bioprocess engineering, industrial, environmental and health biotechnology. Working mainly in the following sectors: health, environment and the development of sustainable bioprocesses to obtain bioactives for industry, involving photobiomodulation or photodynamic inactivation techniques. Production and characterisation of photostimulated microbial biopolymers using industrial waste by-products. Research and teaching experience in the fields of biotechnology, biophotonics, bioprocess microbiology, molecular and cellular biology, bioprocess engineering and industrial microbiology. I'm currently working as a researcher at the Mountain Research Centre (CIMO) of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, as part of the OleaChain project, application code NORTE-06- 3559-FSE-000188.
