Delminda Gamelas Neves Lopes de Magalhaes obtained BcS in Biochemistry at Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto at 1989 and at 2001 a PhD degree in Human Biology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto. Currently , she is an Associated Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, where she teaches subjects on Molecular and Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics, both in pre- and post-graduation courses. She is author of 46 articles published in international scientific journals. As well, she is author of 4 book chapter and edited a book " "Anti-ageing nutrients. Evidence-based prevention of age-associated diseases" Wiley Blackwell 2015. Her main areas of interest are 1 - Ageing, anti-ageing nutrition, vascular ageing, endothelial dysfunction, mimetics of energy restriction. 2 - Endometriosis, infertility in endometriosis, systemic manifestations of endometriosis, adipose tissue dysfunction in endometriosis, novel therapies for endometriosis.
