É Professora do Departamento de Informática e Comunicações do Instituto Politécnico de Bragança - Portugal. Leciona diversos cursos na área de Informática. Tem mais 120 publicações em jornais revistos por pares, capítulos de livros e tem comunicações em conferências científicas nacionais e internacionais. É colaboradora como revisora em jornais e conferências. Interesses de pesquisa: Segurança da informação; Segurança de Sistemas de Informação na Administração Pública; Políticas de Segurança de Sistemas de Informação; Ensino superior; Redes Sociais Virtuais; Cidades Inteligentes; Rede Portuguesa de Cidades Inteligentes; Dimensões de uma cidade inteligente; Turismo inteligente; Internet das Coisas.
