Ruben Maurício da Silva Conceição (RC) earned his PhD in Physics from Lisbon University, Instituto Superior Técnico, in early 2011. He currently holds a position as a contracted assistant researcher at the Laboratório de Instrumentação e Física Experimental de Partículas (LIP) and serves as an Invited Assistant Professor in the physics department of Instituto Superior Técnico. RC has an extensive publication record, contributing nearly 150 peer-reviewed articles in journals (25 as a short author) and writing a section of a book on astroparticle physics. Additionally, he has authored a book on particle and astroparticle physics exercises. With an h-index of 68 (published) and 61 (citable), as per inspire.net, RC is recognized for his impactful contributions. He has organized over ten events, including Master and PhD schools, international meetings, and conferences. Throughout his career, RC has supervised 11 MSc dissertations and is currently (co-)supervising 2 MSc and 5 PhD students. He has participated in several MSc/Ph.D. juries and serves as a referee for numerous peer-reviewed journals. RC specializes in the exact physical sciences, focusing on Particles and Fields of Physics. His expertise lies in studying hadronic interactions within extensive air showers induced by ultra-high-energy cosmic rays interacting with atmospheric atoms. As a longstanding member of the Pierre Auger Collaboration since his PhD, RC has authored more than 20 internal Auger notes and delivered over 50 oral presentations at collaboration meetings. Presently, he leads the Portuguese group involved in the Pierre Auger Observatory (auger.org) and coordinates the Auger Shower Physics task within the international collaboration. Furthermore, RC serves as the Co-PI of the Portuguese group participating in the Southern Wide-field Gamma-ray Observatory (swgo.org). At the SWGO international collaboration, he holds the position of coordinator for the Analysis and Simulations Working Group, a key role within the collaboration's structure. RC has successfully secured funding through competitive calls, acting as a PI or co-PI for projects related to Auger and SWGO.
